I have very much enjoy reading the booklets Stephen has wrote for Arrow video, and he offered great insight during the Jake West documentary. I would like to read his Beyond Terror book, but its going for a fortune on amazon. Does anyone know where I can read more of his work?

His blog is: Seven Doors Hotel.

He edited and wrote Eyeball magazine and they released a stunning compendium which is affordable. Amazon have it here.

Also his Nightmare USA is an indispensable guide to exploitation cinema of the 70s/80s - eruditely written with a lot of heart and humour it's absolutely worth the money. Again it's on Amazon (well Marketplace) here.

And I wouldn't worry too much about Beyond Terror as a revised edition is due out this year. I was fortunate to get a copy last year and it's utterly fantastic.

You can also catch him on the fantastic Video Nasties documentary, where he and other critics/fans give their thoughts on certain films/trailers from that dark period

You can also see him in !

You can also see him bobbing about in Derek Jarman's "The Last Of England". Sadly, he's not the naked, crying man holding a cauliflower.

I used to have all the original "Eyeball" zines back in the day. I must get round to buying the book.

Seriously? Typical as I got a copy from an ebay seller, late last year. Luckily I didn't pay too much for it.

So I'm led to believe. I read it FAB Press's Twitter feed last year.

Alan Jones's Profondo Argento is being revised this year too. Due out in August. He said this himself a couple of days ago in, in fact he was asking suggestions for a new name for it?

I recall an issue of Eyeball where imo Thrower had a thinly-veiled dig at the now departed Chas. Balun, labelling his work "six-pack journalism at it's worst.".

Despite already owning the original releases of the impressive Fulci and Argento FAB Press books previously mentioned, i'm still having the revised volumes when they surface.

I briefly swapped emails with Steve a few years ago (he mailed me after Harvey Fenton passed on a gushing email I wrote about the Fulci book), and Steve was really nice and gracious - we were discussing some of the film samples he snuck into Coil songs (like the Wizard of Gore sample on the opening track on Stolen and Contaminated Songs). He also ID'd a sample on a live TG track which was bugging me for ages. A very nice guy. Funnily enough I was listening to Cyclobe's Luminous Darkness album last night... I think Steve is currently hard at work on a Franco book, something badly needed I think...
