I would never have guessed you liked this film.

My favourite Price films are:

Theatre of Blood
Witchfinder General
The Tingler
House of Wax
The Fly
The Abominable Dr Phibes
Masque of the Red Death
The Haunted Palace (my favourite of the Corman/Price collaborations)
Madhouse
Scream and Scream Again
The Invisible Man Returns
War-Gods of the Deep
The Oblong Box
From a Whisper to a Scream

I also used to love his radio show - The Price of Fear. Anyone remember that?

I'm going to give the MGM Dr.Phibes disc a spin tonight, I haven't watched it in years.Which Theatre of Blood disc do you guys recommend, the R1 or R2? Or is there no difference between the two?

Aside from the PAL and NTSC runtime differences, they're identical. But if you go for the R1, you get a double-feature with Madhouse.

It will never go on a list of Price's best films but i have always found Dr Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine a bit of fun.

Price did a superb little chiller called DIARY OF A MADMAN which is well worth getting if you can find it. I've only ever seen it on TV.

Seems to be a distinct lack of the great Vincent Price on Blu. Would love to see something nice done with Corman's Poe films.

A Poe/Corman Blu-Set would be great. I'd buy it.

The Poe/Corman films are long overdue on BD. They came out very early in the life of DVD and did well for MGM. It's a wonder they haven't put these out again. There'll always be a demand for these classics.
