"Paranormal Activity"

All I can say is I recommend you catch this at the cinema while you can. I watched this with a packed house and the reactions from the other viewers was an added pleasure well worth experiencing. Believe the hype. This is a fantastic little horror film. The acting may be a bit dodgy, and the effecta a bit sparce but the story drags you along. I'm sleeping with the light on tonight........... unless the Mrs tells me off.

Paranormal Activity

I'm afraid it did nothing whatsoever for me. I found it silly, very poorly acted and hugely overhyped. Well on the way to my overrated list.

I just came back from watching Law Abiding Citizen I really liked it alot right up to the very end when imo a weak finale wrapped things up a little too neatly. Apart from that however it a fun revenge/miscaridge of justice film with some great flourishes. Hopefully this will be the first of more 18 rated genre material as this has been doing great buisness at the cinema I work at.

Saw The Box tonight really enjoyed it. If you liked Donnie Darko I suggest going to see this. It has a creepy twilight zone atmosphere and is complex enough to leave you asking questions as you leave the cinema.

Went to see Avatar in 3D last night and luved every moment of it! Believe the hype! It was such a great film. Not just visually but also intellectually, besides the story (which itself is nothing new) being told superbly with enough excitement and tension to kill an elderly person, it also has very strong messages behind it, including anti-war, enviromental, hegemonic, hyper-reality, racist allegories (or any other minorites) to name but just a few. The acting is brilliant, always great to see the incredibly Sigourney Weaver on the screen. It is visually stunning and the CGI is the some of the best I've seen.

A truly other-worldly and magical film that I can see becoming a timeless masterpiece. What it lacks in narrative originalitiy it makes up for well in mind-blowing spectacle.

Try and catch it in 3D at an IMAX cinema too for the full impact of this film.

On Hogmanay,I was dragged to see Twilight New Moon

Robert Pattison has all the acting ability of a brick wall.

Honestly,I was tempted to light up and get myself forcibly removed from the cinema!

At least the kids enjoyed it.....
