Default Super 8 - JJ Abraham and Steven Spielberg collabo

OMG!!!
did anyone hear the news about the new super secret JJ Abraham and Speilberg movie Super 8??? At first it was said it was a Cloverfiled prequel but then that got dismissed and now its said to be a whole different movie that plays homage to the old Amblin movies from 70s and 80s.

Find the teaser trailer below:

Im SO excited!!!

I wonder if it bears any resemblance to Night Skies, the scary-aliens script John Sayles wrote for Spielberg in the early-80s (only to be junked in favour of E.T.).

Well, let's hope it's a hell of a lot better than anything either of them have made in the last couple of decades!

Not two names I am pleased to see together, I must admit!

Didn't JJ say that the Cloverfield monster wasn't an alien? Some people were already dismissing Super 8 as related to it becuase the monster in this one is an alien. I could be wrong of course.

Cloverfield was just awful. A truly bad effort in everyway. Hated it.

I thought it was very entertaining and it was well done for a low budget movie.
Of course it was far from a "good movie" so to speak but just like Transformers and Roland Emmerich films, its sometimes good to chill out to a "popcorn flick" and let ur your brain rest. As I never go into these movies expecting a Oscar worthy script/story and good acting etc. I go in to be entertained and have fun, and all of them kept me entertained and did what I expected them to do so I was never disappointed as I never expected much in the first place.

I envy you in many ways. I find it extremely difficult to do this. My brain is hardwired to analyse and criticise. I find it very hard to just be entertained. Even if I conclude that a film is excellent "brain off entertainment" in a review, I have had to analyse the film to reach this conclusion!

It make me a bit frustrated and angry sometimes.

I'd have to go with nekro.I've said it many times that I just like to be entertained.Probably the reason I can watch things like Grease 2 and Steven Seagal movies and just enjoy them without thinking too much.I'm a simple man with simple tastes.
