Default GrindHouse 2wo

A huge fan of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's 2007 Grindhouse movie. Upon browsing on Amazon, i found this:

Anybody know anything about it?

Not much

Bringer of funerals mentioned it, at the start of April, and I pointed out that it only seems to have a total run-time of 76 mins

Personally, I think that this means it'll be a 'quicky cash-in'

The fact that this is a cheapy quick cash-in actually makes it more Grindhouse than QT's and Rodriguez's Grindhouse. Making them quick and cheaply and exploiting base elements is what Grindhouse is all about.

You know, it's amazing that before Death Proof/Planet Terror most casual movie fans didn't even know what Grindhouse was. Now everyone *thinks* they know what it is, but don't really have a clue. I hear people say they like Grindhouse films, so I show them some, and it turns out they don't like them at all.

Never heard of this but I really want to see this after seeing the cover.

Is this only available in the UK ?

Plus I have always had a thing for Linnea Quigley.

@Daemonia: You put in a few senstences what I was strongly feeling for the last couple of years when browsing fthrough film debates featurnig this exact contradiction which you point out.

For better or worse, QT and RR's flick has made the general movie wachting public conscious of the tag "grindhouse".... but I wonder how they'd react to a double billing of- let's say- "Fight for your Life" and "Late Night Trains"
Daemonia and artisturn like this.

Indeed, Peter. They think because they like QT flicks they're somehow experts in Grindhouse all of a sudden. Like I say, I've shown people proper Grindhouse films, like the two you listed, and they've not liked them. Point made.

I'll admit I didn't have a clue what Grindhouse films were. Even though I was watching them - i didnt know that was the term for them.

As with the Tarantino (refreshing to say that without getting moaned at by Mathew) the trailer didn't exactly grab me but I thought f""k it i'll watch it with it being a Tarantino film and I enjoyed it
