(Post) Apocalyptic Movies

So, as you all know, by this time next year the world will apparently have ended. Nuclear holocaust, alien invasion, an act of God or simply a mix up on the Mayan Calander - whatever the case may be, we're all doomed!

As such, here's a thread to celebrate the coming of the end! What are some of the best post-apocalyptic movies you have ever seen? What about the worst?

To be honest my favourite has to be The Road, I know I haven't seen many post apocalyptic films but this one really stood out as something special for me.

My fave genre. Love most of what's already mentioned.

The Last Battle and Night of the Comet are two good ones.

Looking forward to The Divide, sounds pretty good.

I wish shameless would release more like with the Bronx tin.

I got the Threads DVD last Xmas. Boxing Day was a right laugh round mine.

The Divide is now one of my favourite Post-Apocalyptic movies and I've reviewed it at Flash-Bang.

BTW: the world will not end this year. The Mayan calendar doesn't take into account holidays that originated during Roman times and Bank Holidays endorsed in the 19th Century, so the world would hav ended last year
