I'm afraid modern-day zombie movies just don't do it for me anymore - unless it's something really different and original.I quite liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead, but to me it's not a patch on Romero's original.I guess I'm too old-school in my taste for horror flicks. That's not to say I won't give Marko's film a chance, because I will.

Well I can only hope that WOTD doesn't let you down!

The film was originally called WAR OF THE DEAD and then changed to STONE'S WAR after James Van Der Beek was attached for the role of Captain Stone.
After some cast changes like Corin Nemec replacing Van Der Beek and eventually Andrew Tiernan replacing Nemec to play Captain Stone we changed the name back to its original title, WAR OF THE DEAD, which was a suggestion of Stan Lee, by the way. He liked the original title and asked me what happened with it, so the title was changed back to the original form.

Picked up the DVD today ( we get new releases here in Ireland on a Friday.) Really looking forward to watching your film. Love the cover, too.

Stone's War was a great episode of Miami Vice starring Bob Balaban So i much prefer the title War of the Dead. It's also in keeping with most decent zombie films. Whilst I miss the grungy shufflers of the Romero movies and Fulci's Zombie Flesheaters, there's plenty of room for other intepretations.
