You got the latest Metal Hammer? Its a good issue. Features on Priest, Def Leppard, Crue, Arch Enemy and a ten page Maiden cover story.
It also has a superb free Priest poster with it.

Anything really. I know its a bit vague, but my first album was Maidens Live after Death, i then got into all the hair metal stuff (Crue, Gn'r, Ratt, Bon Jovi etc) whilst also loving Slayer, Anthrax, Testament and Megadeth. Grunge and Nu metal spoiled everything so i started getting into black and Gothic metal and non metal like Nick Cave, Waterboys, Oasis, Primal Scream. As pure metal came back again with the turn of the year 2000 my metal tastes really came full circle.
The only bands i really can't get into are the ones that half scream their way through songs - metalcore. You can sound aggressive without screaming just listen to Tom Araya.

I've been buying Metal Hammer since its first issue in 1986 with the ZZ top cover and part one of the Doro Pesch poster.
I haven't kept them all though, i just have the last 5 years. Space reasons. I have kept selected articles, posters, reviews etc of my fave bands, not that i ever look at them , one day you never know.

I loved the days of video collecting, as people said in the thread, you had to search for titles, sometimes for years, not just order 5 online every week from anywhere in the world.
The poor picture and sound quality was all part of the fun, especially with horror titles. Thats one of the reasons i am yet to convert to Blu-ray - Anthropophagus just doesn't seem right when you can see whats happening.

When it comes to cult Italian horror films, a few notorious names instantly spring to mind. From Lucio Fulci to Ruggero Deodato, Dario Argento and Mario Bava; there’s no doubt that these directors are some of the best names in cult Italian cinema. But with Shameless Screen Entertainment’s upcoming release of one of the greatest and most atmospheric gialli, The House With Laughing Windows, what better time than now, to look at the man responsible for this eerie thriller; Pupi Avati. Having directed...

Haunted toys. We've all seen them in films. From Puppet Master to Child Play, haunted dolls provide great material for horror movies. But do such things exist? Well, the simple answer would appear to be, Yes. One of the most notorious cases involves a little doll that goes by the name of Robert and what a weird and VERY scary doll it is too. Is the doll really possessed/ alive?

It all started in...

Hellooo there!

It's been ages since I've done a blog, so hopefully you'll enjoy this.

Below is a link to something I've just made. I do luv a good horror story, especially an audio one (saves on reading ) So, just for you, is an old Horror Radio Show/Play entitled The Return From Death. And to add that extra bit of awesomeness, I've also added in old advertisments, trailers and even a song in the right places.

The story is pretty average to be...

Hi there! So, I've gone and done another version of the screenplay - see the other blog for more info.

I tried to make it less weird but well, it only got weirder as it went along!

Let me know what you make of it guys

Ext. Whitechapel. Night - 1888.

Dense fog covers the full moon as 1 walks along the deserted cobbled path. He wears a black top hat and a black cloak concealing his suit. In his gloved hand is a long metal silver cane which...

Hey there! I haven't done one of these in aggges - but, having spoken to Sam, thought this would be a nice blog.

Basically, at uni, I've just started the Screenwriting module and our first task was to create an opening scene from the below dialogue. We couldn't change the words, the order of the words, the characters or anything else like that. This is the original script:

1. Oh.
2. Yes.
1. Why are you doing this?
2. It's for the best.
