Default Recommend me a film

Ive been a fan of horror nasties rare contraversial films etc etc since i been a child,
I watched I spit on u grave, Nigthmares in a damage brain when i was around 13 14yr old, Like most ppl i tried my best to build up my video collection but u had to relie on swapping copies of films, as i got older i moved out etc etc and slowly starting loosing touch in these films. for around 10yr r so

For around 2 3yr i got my interest back and beggin to realise what ive been missing out on all these yrs. SHAME ON ME,

Im still a huge fan of these films but havent realy got a clue of what what over the yrs. Im a fan of many different types of films i like the japanese horrors and tartan asia extreme films. And the korean ones as well

Id like to start building back up my film collection.
So i like to ask ppl if u could reccomend me some film that i should have in my collection or at least watch, what films have have caused ppl to talk about over the yrs, for what ever reason gore contraversial good bad etc etc

thank you
GAG

How about Philosphy of a Knife? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0961119/

Worth watching if you're into the very extreme

cool thinking!... im new here so apols if i just appear out of nowhere. apparently 'code-red' are still trying to release Nightmare (nightmares in a damaged brain) and it looks to be a remaster & potent item many people are waiting for.. that would be recommended. its not a very good film but somehow, its stuck in the mind since grungy 80's releases.

yes...ive got a coupla ropey copies of it lying around...Nightmares seems uncut in dutch print...the other one slightly iffy in that its a very dark print...but even though its not a great film it does the job doesnt it. sordid i think is the word. grimy? does what it says on Scavolinis tin. perhaps try a New york Ripper for a double bill. but dont go out the house for a day or two after!

Films that have caused a stir and are worth a look are (in my opinion):

I Spit On Your Grave
Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Ferox
Nekromantik
Nekromantik 2
Aftermath
Last House on Dead End Street
New York Ripper
The Beyond
Untold Story
Ebola Syndrome
Ichi the Killer
House on the Edge of the Park
Emanuelle in America
Daughter of Darkness
Man Behind the Sun
In a Glass Cage

There's others, but that'll do you for starters. Later we'll discuss the artistic merits (or not) of such wonderful works as Mordum and Red Room.
