Most rented?

Desperately Seeking Susan
The Howling (still one of my all time favourite horror films)
The Fog (John Carpenter)
Friday The 13th
Evil Dead (the ankle stabbing still makes me wince).

Given that I was born in 83, my memory of this is none too great and so these could be early nineties, but I remember that me and my brother used to rent a bunch of WWF videos, as well as the Teen Wolf movies and Godzilla Vs King Kong. It's weird looking back to realise that I was already hinting at uber-nerdage before I hit 10.

I was born 84 and, unfortunately, my local shop was fussy on age so I never got to rent any horror - just got to stare at it on the shelves. So my most rented was:

The Return to Oz

Saying that, the damn film still creeps me out to this day! I don't really know what my mum was thinking letting me watch it!

Scary ass Wheelers...

That part where one of them turned to sand or something was a bit freaky. I remember watching this film a bunch, too. I do still like the idea of trees with lunchboxes on them.

Trees with lunchboxes in would make life that little bit sweeter...

Seriously Return to Oz scared the crap out of me as a kid. I rewatched it on the telly not long back and it's still way too freaky for a kid's film! The turning into sand terrified me, as did the queen's collection of heads.

And the Wheelers... The noise they made just struck fear into me!

I rented Death Ship more times than I care to remember. I must have been mad - it's such a shit film (but in a good way and if you don't own the Nucleus DVD buy it!) but something about it got to me.

We used to just rent them once, maybe twice and copy them onto another tape, slap on wrist.

my tape had spaceballs, gremlins 2, howard the duck and robocop 2 for most of the time.

I first saw it on the flicks as a double bill with Phobia back in the 80's.
