Lol, I've heard other nightmare tales about getting DVDs through from Xploited, but I've been lucky - I've ordered some pretty nasty stuff from there! Hope my recent X-rated Kult titles get to me now though. Lol

Luckily I didn't get any charges pressed against me (Or a fine), I was only 17 at the time so they were pretty leniant, the whole thing was ridiculous really considering it was over a couple of DVD's. It was breaching the indecent material and obscenty laws (Or something like that, cant remember exactly) That was what they were doing me for.

The dvd's the whole thing was over was Andreas Schnaas's 'Violent Shit' trilogy and 'Anthropophagus' uncut if i remember correcty. Wouldn't have minded as much if it had actually been something a bit more credible (Than Violent Shit anyway, Anthropophagus is pretty good)

That wasn't too bad, at least you didn't get a fine and a criminal record then, H 22 .
Still, iim sure it wasn't a very pleasant experience .

Glad to see it didn't put you off collecting horror films.

I think something like this only strengthens your love of collecting. It's such a crappy little law that its laughable they still follow-up on it!

Kinda like, It's legal for an Englishman to shoot a Welshman with a longbow, provided the Englishman is in England and the Welshman is on the Welsh side of the border.

Needless to say you won't find me in Chepstow often! lol

It all depends on what you order though, doesn't it? I've never had anything seized by customs, but I would never order a previously-banned title from outside of the UK. You pay a little more to get a foreign release from a UK-based seller, but it's definitely the way to go.

I had my copy of Space Truckers checked by customs.

And I think I did have some banned videos checked too, but they obviously didn't check very hard cos I got them with no fus.

I guess Violent Shit is a bit of an obvious title.

Don't know what the situations like now, it was like 4/5 years ago but i wouldn't risk it, i've certainly never ordered from them again
Thanks for the warning, Hal 22! I actually ended up getting the R1 MGM disc off a UK-based seller on Playtrade so I wouldn't have to worry about customs. Might have made a wise decision! Thanks though.

I've had plenty of my items checked by customs, hence I never order the ex-nasties or the like from abroad. Parcels from Xploited often got opened; mostly because HRC&E were sometime dubious of the values Tony marked on the outside of the envelope.
