I don't think it ever will, Gore 64, but that's an excellent question that I would like to know the answer to as well. Same with their release of Freaky Fairy Tales. Is it uncut?

I think the VI DVD is uncut but an unauthorised release. They also released the uncut Alice Sweet Alice (Communion) without BBFC approval.

Why are the BBFC not doing anything to punish companies that release without submission.?
BBFC action that will be firm enough to make other companies think twice before releasing films illegally is surely needed , afterall, the law is being broken, plus its like sticking 2 fingers up to the smaller companies like Shameless who pay the considerablely expensive Certifcation fee.

Well admittedly the BBFC do come across as being rather weak in this department. I'm waiting to see if Mondo Cane comes out with an E, if it does it's likely to be another rule break.

23rd Century were one of the major offenders for unauthorised releases.

If Mondo Cane receives an E then there's no reason why The Animals Film shouldn't have received the same. The latter is even more qualified for one.

The shops should be fined if they accept films without a offical BBFC Age Stamp, or do the companies that release illegaly unclassified discs add the BBFC Age Stamp anyway. ?

Yes they do.

I feel strongly about it as well. I have in the past informed the BBFC about several dodgy releases, they always say they will look into it but nothing ever happens. Several years later the discs are still in the shops.

By the way The Animals Film got a 15 uncut.

Anyone thinking of buying The Animal Film don't let the 15 rating fool you into thinking this film is mild.
It contains stronger, more sicking footage IMO than Mondo Cane etc but presents it in a serious, non explotive way.
Though it is quite harrowing stuff.

The vile footage of the vomiting monkey in the electric shock 'hamster' style wheel always come's into my head every time someone mentions this film.
