I ask as I was gonna try get them for my b'day next month and I did'nt wanna by the whole box set just to get 2 films, though its mainly for 'Inseminoid' , so 1 film really.
Inseminoid was first released as a non anamorphic widescreen version by Stonevision in the early days of dvd. It's cheap to pick up & has an exclusive Norman J Warren documentary. The picture quality of both is rather disappointing.

I've never actually seen the box set instore Cloud or I probably woulda bought it and I hate the thought of paying @ 45 quid pre ordering and leaving the store with nothing, especially as there's always games at £45 that im after , so im sure you can guess what my 45 quid goes on.

But ill make a point of definetly getting it.
I've done without these films to long and i've my Shameless titles up to date or pre ordered and paid for.

Sadly now that a big corporation has taken 'em over Cloudy,we'll never see a genre output like they previously did...
But never mind,we've got SHAMELESS and BLUE UNDERGROUND.....

Why don't you want the whole NJW set? I love Satan's Slave and Terror and the 5th disc with Warren's rare short film 'Fragment' and extras is priceless. Rarely do special features come across as so enthusiastic and personal to the guy its about. It's a stunner, Vips. I recommend you add it to your collection at once.

When I think of all the cool stuff Anchor Bay released it makes me feel sad. I want them back!
Indeed. Amazing to think of the whingers who complained about these boxsets at the time ( their discs kept falling out or some such shit ).
They were brilliant. Every one of them is recommended - the Pete Walker one being my favourite....

For quantity then the Tigon set wins hands down with 6 films AND it has the uber rare Haunted House Of Horror which is a favourite of mine. For films I'll go with the Pete Walker one because aside from Die Screaming Marianne all the others are classics. For nostalgia, Amicus because I watched their films the most growing up. And for special features then Norman J. Warren set wins.

The Amicus set is OOP btw and is going for silly money on Amazon. And yeah I remember when people were complaining. That shocked me because those sets were and still are amazing and not only that but they look great on the shelf.

Vips, if you'd only stop being so stubborn and order online you'd get the Warren set for just under £20 on Amazon . Come on, you know it makes sense.
When I was in Mexico we had no decent postal service so to get films direct it was brick and mortar stores only for me with ridiculous import fees. But Belfast is the first world, right? You have Royal Mail don't you? Go on, be a little devil and order online, I dare you!

I lived there for 3 years. My wife is Mexican. But now we're back in England, thank God!

If you order online then you have access to anything you desire. You can import R1 titles for cheap and buy R2 product at a fraction of the price you'd see them going for in HMV or Zavvi etc. OK you'll maybe have to wait 2-5 days for a DVD and up to 3 weeks for an import but it's worth the wait and I'll tell you this for nothing - and I'm sure others will agree - you ain't lived until you've heard a jiffy bag coming through your letter box.

Likewise. Not really for any reason other than to have newer copies to replace my older AB copies! Or, as in the case of Daughters of Darkness, because BU revisited it and gave us a nice new transfer (and a copy of Blood Spattered Bride as a bonus disc!).

I, too, have fond memories of haunting the ABUK Forums - was a member there since 2002, I think. It was quite sad to see the demise of those forums and of ABUK as a cult label. I can remember the excitement when Bill Lustig joined the forums I was moderating at the time to inform us of the opening of the UK arm of Anchor Bay. As soon as the ABUK Forums came into being many of us signed up immediately as members and I stayed there for the duration.
