Thanks for that, Vips. The reception here has been warm and welcoming.

Sorry to hear that Steve is unwell - here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

It was a site called Splatterhouse - which is sadly long gone. The webmaster basically lost interest and shut the place, which was a shame. Nice chap though and I had the pleasure of meeting him in person some time after the site closed.

That's gotta be my quote of the week (even if made donkeys ago). If it's any consolation I have actually got rid of some of the stinkers since that list was made although I have added to it aswell. This includes the rare and long hunt for Mio in the Land of Faraway. £50 I spent on it, but Christopher Lee is essential in the best quality version.

Bloody hell Mr. Ashley, you take your time! It's only been like 2.5 months. I've gotta say, you often come out with some hilarious stuff and half the time you don't see why I'm laughing . My all time favourite quote of yours was the sarcastic "dress in drag, firing ping ping balls from my crotch" line over on CMF. That one had me on the floor with the laughter.

I have my little notepad with your greatest hits in there well I don't actually but I've just given myself an idea!

As for AB collections, I do remember at the old place you took that particular trophy home with you. I think mine is almost complete though, I've got most of the essentials, I just need to plug a few more gaps and it'll be more or less complete. With them seldom releasing genre output these days it's easier than ever to get up to date.

Anyway back to Poundland...

They call me Mr. Dracucarr!!!! Thankyou though for your kind words, which are gratefully appreciated. There's some great personalities on forums when they're allowed to fruit so we all play our part to keep things enjoyable. You Mr Cloud are no exception and your light hearted banter is refreshing in keeping places you visit entertaining. You can also string a few decent paragraphs together that, even when in disagreement, makes for an interesting set of discussions.

Anyway, Liverpool for the title! I will also try and get an updated Anchor bay list up here, but I myself would like to see some pics of your collection Cloud even though it is incomplete at the mo

I hear certain stores are becoming 50p land again for a limited time only. Still a bit expensive for some during such hard times

Well thank you very much. I do try to have a laugh when I'm not in a bad mood over something (usually stupid).

I'd love to do a picture of my collection (and not just Anchor Bay) when I've got everything organised and put together but right now it's impossible because of everything being separated. I'll definitely submit a few photos when all is done. And on the subject of that, where are these photos you've been promising everyone for the past 2 or 3 years? Though I dunno if I want to see them with the amount you told me you had! I've got 1,650 as well as around 700 videos and believe it or not thought that was pretty big. But compared to 5,000 or so? ****ing hell! You're rich.

I have actually taken a number of pictures of my collection, but not recently seeing as I've had everything boxed up for the last 6 months or so. However, there is a fair few on my facebook, but you know my trouble with me and uploading on forums, grrrr A pic of my Anchor Bay collection has me drooling just thinking about it so once I'm unpacked I aim to do one of those. There's so many of everyone's (genre fans) favourites amongst them at a time when Anchor Bay used to put the 'great' into DVD collecting. Sad times nowadays. I'll try and get a list put together in the meantime though at least of the AB stuff I still have. What was everyone's last Anchor Bay purchase out of interest? US and UK. They've released very little of interest of late. I know UK wise it was What A Carve Up, which was quite recently, but whereas the old ABUK would go the extra mile to give a decent DVD presentation - The Asphyx an exception - What A Carve Up they did not. US I'll have to have a think.

Well, just thinking about the old ABUK releases and the forum fills me with a sense of nostalgia.
If my recollection serves me right, I joined in there around 2005 and had a great time as long as it lasted.
Great to find a lot of familiar names from that period over here at "Shameless"!

My ABUK collection:

Box of the Banned 1
Box of the Banned 2
Blind Dead box set
Hellraiser box set
Phantasm sphere
Halloween Complete Collection
Halloween-25 Years of Terror (4 disc set)
Sleepaway Camp box set
Wes Craven collection
Tigon coffin set
Norman J Warren box set
Jess Franco Collection Vol 1
House box set
Masters of Horror Season 1 Vol 1
Masters of Horror Season 1 Vol 2
Bubba-Ho-Tep SE
Maniac
Madman
Evilspeak (2 disc)
The Evil Dead
Army of Darkness (2 disc)
Suspiria (2 disc)
Two Evil Eyes
The Brood
The Crazies
Mark of the Devil
The living Dead at the Manchester Morgue
Last House on the Left (2 disc)
The Hills have Eyes (2 disc)
The Toolbox Murders (remake, 2 disc)
Near Dark (2 disc)
Succubus
Sadomania
Sadisterotica
Marquis de Sade's Justine
Terror Train
Hitch-Hike
Dead and Buried
Santa Sangre
Heathers (2 disc)
The Dead next Door
Don't Answer the Phone

ABUS:

Opera
Inferno/Phenomena double pack
Deep Red
Cut and Run
Halloween 5 (tin box)

Yeah, some of their releases were cut and others popped up in even better SEs later on elsewhere- but overall they contributed some of the most memorable releases in their day.

I DO miss the old ABUK....
