Default Non-Tarantino Tarantino Films

Quentin Tarantino is, I'm sure many of you will agree, one of the greatest living directors. His work is so unique and always enjoyable (I'm not counting Death Proof here!) From Reservoir Dogs to Inglorious Basterds. He is truly an incredible auteur.

So it's perhaps no surprise then that his movies and style have influenced many other filmmakers. From their choice of soundtrack, fake americana astetics to the dialogue and the narrative.

Catch .44 is amongst the best of these Non-Tarantino Tarantino movies and really does deliver the goods.

But can you think of any other Tarantino-esque movies? Share your thoughts here!

Check out this blog Sam wrote, all about the film and it's Tarantino-esque qualities - http://www.cult-labs.com/blog/2012/0...o-connections/

I thought Killing Zoe from QT's mate Roger Avary was pretty good. I haven't seen it since the press show in 1994 though!

I've always been unimpressed by the majority of films which have tried to emulate Tarantino's written and aesthetic styles; there's no comparison.

It also annoys me when some decent films are branded 'Tarantinoesque' but are good enough to stand without the association. Sorry to sound grumpy (that wasn't my point) but copycat filmmakers and lazy marketeers are two things that really get my goat!
