Cheers Applecore.

Eight live tracks isn't bad. Its an album i've been meaning to pick up but not got round to it yet.

No worries. I'll likely watch the DVD this week so once I do I'll post on here to say whether it's any good or not. It was £7.99 for the single disc and £8.99 for the double on the Sainsbury's entertainment site, so figured it would be a no brainer haha. I know a bunch of people who went to the Derby show so it'll be a laugh looking out for them at least. I was at the Bloodstock show, too, so I'll be looking for myself more than watching the show!

That's quite an interesting pic on that Halloween 2 tape.

A couple of new arrivals earlier in the week. The latest albums by Clutch and Uncle Acid and the DeadBeats.

Both worthy of album of the year status.

I really like Talkie Walkie. Whilst not as heralded as some of their earlier works its still rather fine.

I received Innuendo and Made in Heaven late last week and listened to them over the weekend. I completely agree with Demdike's analysis that Innuendo is one of Queen's best albums and, even though it is really good, Made in Heaven is a little too ballad-heavy to rank with the best.

What did you think of The Miracle Nos?

It was the album, or rather lead single I Want it All, that first brought Queen to my attention. I'd never really listened to them before seeing the video on tv and was blown away by such a great yet simple rocker. The Flash soundtrack aside, which always seemed more novelty than proper album, the band were in the midst of their disco / non-rock phase whilst i was discovering music so this album was a real eye opener.

As for the album itself. It has some superb tracks - I Want it All, The Invisible Man, Breakthru, Scandal, and Was it all Worth It?, the rest is fairly light weight fluff.
