Default Music rarities wanted

I thought it would be good to see if there are any CD's, Vinyl etc that you have always wanted to own but have never managed to find or track down a cheap enough copy! You never know, one of us might have it lurking in our collection and be happy to let it go!

e.g. I am a huge Jeff Buckley fan and have been collecting his CD's from around the world for years. I think I have most things that he released but there are always a few surprise items I find on ebay or eil.com.

Is there an artist you try to collect everything by?

I have every Front Line Assembly CD up to Improvised Electronic Device, with the exception of the OOP Digitial Tension Dementia EP. I really want to start getting some FLA vinyl (most are pretty pricey though!)

I also have pretty much every KMFDM CD (including the Pig Vs. and some of the live stuff), plus a couple on vinyl too.

I also have most works of Gary Numan, The Legendary Pink Dots, Nine Inch Nails, Velvet Acid Christ, and :Wumpscut: among others.

I'm still after the following:-

Still need a fair few Dr. John LPs to complete the collection
Rarer Allen Toussaint albums
The Meters / The Neville Brothers and other New Orleans funk Lps

Anything hard-bop jazz related on the BLUE NOTE / Impulse! / Atlantic / etc labels

Louis Armstrong / Henry "red" Allen LPs

More Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, delta & chicago blues LPs

More Joni Mitchell and Bruce Cockburn Lps

Trying to get all the Steeleye Span / Maddy Prior solo stuff too on vinyl

My only complete collection of any artist on vinyl is Robert Cray I reckon. But there's this annoying gap from around 1992 to 2005 ish where artists seemed to release nothing on vinyl and just focussed on CD releases of albums

Great thread... I spent a small fortune putting together a Coil collection - the last thing I picked up a few years ago was Coil's rare ANS triple-CD collection of Russian synthesizer tones and drones - it was £60, and that was when money meant something etc... My collecting days are pretty much over now, but if I had the money I'd love to get all the Throbbing Gristle live tapes and the holiest of holies for TG collectors, the 24 Hours flightcase box of tapes from 1980... Industrial music for industrial wallets...
