Finally got this, while I enjoyed it, (unlike some others on here )I don't think it comes close to LHOTL at all (Although I'm sure the dubbing takes away a lot of it's power) or even Aldo's superb Short Night of glass dolls.

But after watching it, the hatchet murder in Deep Red will be way more fun from now on!

A question though, I don't recall hearing the up tempo music used in the trailer, did I somehow miss it briefly used?

Oh yea "Whore aboard" :pound: :nono:

Your right it doesn't really come close, still a fine film though.

I like the juxtaposition technique, similar to that of Last House (And other Italian movies), with the use of music (Demis Rousso is enough to drive anyone insane!) and scenes of their happy family at Christmas edited together with the poor girls going through hell on the train.

Those scenes tend to give the humiliation and torture an extra edge that you don't really get in todays movies.

The much hated (At least on the sites I visit) House of 1000 corpses has a superb sequence for my money:

I also love the way the audience is left waiting so long at the end for the gunshot that it almost plays like a sacrifice to the jaded crowd.

Another essential BU BR for yours truly and here's hoping Bill Lustig spices up this release with a few more extras.:)
