So Duckling, I gave the disc a quick spin last night and am pleased to report the image and audio are wonderful. Going from the restoration details I'm certain its the HD Master created for the German Blu, the image is thick, colourful and has grain. The extras start off a little high brow, especially the Koven talking head piece. The Visual Essay by Ellinger is engaging and interesting. She also makes some good points about the apparent misogyny in Fulci's films and points out the director was playing to and exceeding the genres expectations. The women in Fulci's gialli are never dull and merely there for decoration. The interview sections are pretty good and Florinda Bolkan watching her chain whipping scene is something. There are also lots of clips from Lizard, Seven Notes and One on Top of Another during the documentaries. I wonder if Arrow have a few other Fulci gialli up their sleeves? |

I've never watched Rocky with the comm track, I love the songs too much, maybe next time though.

Well as I said a few weeks back twas the first time I had the thing in the house and I do try and stick with this schedule new/old/comm as a rule, depends on length of either the first two. So twas a chance for me to hear what Riff Raff had to say for himself after all these years .... I find with comms that sometimes the older films bear greater fruit ... though this isn't always the case cough MASH cough.
