Ready for something a bit different?

To be honest, I'm not exactly the biggest anime/manga fan out there. I've seen a few of them and all of which I've absolutly adored, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to watch. So, what better way to watch some than to win it?!

Welcome to the world of Shangri-la, a land where men and demons, science and magic once coexisted in peace. But this previously tranquil haven is now descending into chaos, its natural order disrupted by experimental attempts to revive the demon Lord Gyumaoh, a creature vanquished in battle over half a millennium ago. The experiments have resulted in a negative aura that is polluting the land, causing the demon populace to go berserk. The hopes of the Shangri-la lie in the hands of four youths – the young priest known as Genjyo Sanzo and his travelling companions Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku. These four adventurers are forced to embark on an arduous journey west, their destination India, where they must put a stop to the attempts to revive Gyumaoh and, in doing so, restore order to the world. Their path is littered with obstacles, from the constant threat of demonic attacks to interference from the Heavens by beings who have their own agenda tied to the chaos raging below.

Adapted from an original story by Kazuya Minekura, as serialized in "Monthly Comic Zero-Sum", Saiyuki Reload is loosely based on the famous Chinese novel, "Journey To The West", the inspiration for countless screen adaptations, most notably the cult TV series, "Monkey".

SAIYUKI RELOAD: BOX SET (cert. 15) will be released on DVD (£49.99) by MVM Entertainment on 7th December 2009. Special Features include: English 2.0, Japanese 2.0, optional English subtitles, creditless opening, original Japanese opening and trailers.




So how do you win this baby?

Since it's a manga...a cartoon! All you need to do is come up with cartoon names for famous faces, from politics to Big Brother - what ever.

Think a long the lines of Droopy Dog, Woody the Woodpecker etc - but invent your own names for real famous faces if they were cartoonised!

Oh I should've made this clearer in the intro, but this competition is for ONE copy of the Saiyuki box set, rather than 3 like normal.

Don't worry though, this is a rare thing and we're not cutting down on prizes (hell no!), it's just this one's quite expense (£40+).
