Here's some advice (which you may already be doing). Write a phrase or '....................' copy it and then paste it at the start/end of your short answer - that'll be super quick.

I have been doing that for a while, it's just that it's easy to forget and that messsge comes up telling you its too short and by then you've been beaten to the answer.

It's not a criticism of the comp btw it's something that has annoyed me since I started joining the forums.
