Default Weekly Comp - Jaguar Lives! - 29/08/2010 - FINISHED

Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't feel like a sunday today? More like a tuesday or even a thursday? Anyone? Nope. Just me then. Ahh, I'll shutup now and get on with the comp. For this week's prize is...

And here's some more info on this film, just incase you've been stupid enough not to follow it!

Label: Arrow Video
Release date: 13th September 2010
Release type: DVD
Certificate: 12
Running time: 87 minutes
Pricing: £15.99
Genre: Action
Director: Ernest Pintoff
Stars: Joe Lewis, Christopher Lee, Donald Pleasence, Barbara Bach, Capucine, John Huston, Joseph Wiseman

THREE BOND VILLAINS, ONE BOND GIRL AND A MARTIAL ARTS LEGEND.

Directed by Academy Award winner and veteran director of numerous hit TV series, Ernest Pintoff, (Knots Landing; Hawaii Five-O; Kojak) and starring three former Bond villains (Christopher ‘Scaramanga’ Lee, Donald ‘Blofeld’ Pleasence and Joseph ‘Dr. No’ Wiseman), a former Bond girl (Barbara Bach) and legendary American kickboxer, karate fighter and martial artist Joe Lewis as the eponymous hero, Jaguar Lives! is a star-studded, action-packed, globe-hopping spy thriller that owes as much to the kung fu movies of the 1970s as it does to the spy novels of Ian Fleming and their movie adaptations.

Joe Lewis stars as Jonathan Cross, aka Jaguar, a recently retired secret agent who is persuaded to take on one last assignment. His mission: to smash a global drug cartel rumoured to involve the people believed to be responsible for the disappearance and possible murder of his former partner. Jaguar’s plans to infiltrate the international network of pushers and dealers running the cartel and ultimately eliminate the evil mastermind heading the operation bring him into contact with some of the world’s most powerful and dangerous criminal figures, including a crazed dictator-like General, a ruthless businesswoman with deadly connections and a villainous crime lord and his ninja bodyguards.

Co-starring John Huston (Chinatown; Casino Royale), Capucine (the Pink Panther movies) and Sally Faulkner (Prey; Vampyres) and packed with massive explosions, fast cars, exotic locations, beautiful women and Lewis’s trademark martial arts moves, Jaguar Lives! is a cult classic from the golden age of over-the-top action movies.

Jaguar Lives! will be released on DVD (£15.99) by Arrow Video on 6th September 2010. Special Features include: interview with star Joe Lewis; poster art and stills gallery; Joe Lewis and Bruce Lee gallery; original trailer; reversible sleeve art; 28-page booklet on Joe Lewis and Jaguar Lives! written by Andrew Staton and Anthony DeLongis.

Over the top action , car chases, explosions, awesome cast - now THAT'S what I'm talking about!

And here's the trailer, just in case you haven't seen it before...

But how do you get your fist into this beast?

Well.... we haven't done one of these types of competitions for a while, so I thought, why the hell not?! So, below is a picture I've put together containing NINE film titles portrayed by picture clues. If you've entered one of these comps before (the first ever comps I did was like this) then you'll know exactly how it works. If not, it's pretty straight forward. Say, for example, one of the clues was a mound of rocks in front of a school, then the correct film title would be School Of Rock, or if there's a picture with children playing, the correct answer would be Child's Play. See, this comp is child's play...if you know your stuff.

Oh, and ALL the films have an animal in their title - in keeping the theme with Jaguar Lives.

Once you think you've figured out the answers, simply PM me them and I'll let you know how you got on. As per usual anyone can enter, you can guess as many times as you like and if you get stuck, just ASK for a clue and I'll be happy to give you one or two, or how ever many you need

The competition will end next sunday, just before another competition (with another release from a certain dvd compay *hint hint*) and the THREE winners will be randomly selected (via a Trilby hat) from those who got all 9 answers correct.

So, here's the all important picture...

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kyle
