Extra Comp - Dawn Of The Dragon Slayer - 07/02/2012 - FINISHED

Hello Competition fans!

Along with the weekly competition this week, I've decided to treat you guys to a very cool extra comp too! Up for grabs is a copy of Dawn Of The Dragon Slayer which is a brilliant film, a lot of fun and has some very nice Dragon effects in.

I'm sure most of you have yet to see this film so what better way to indulge in those dragon fantasies of yours than with this competition! So, here's all the details...

To become a hero, he must battle a legend.

When Will’s father is killed by a dragon, Will leaves his once-idyllic home in the mountains to hunt down the beast. The trail of slaughter leads him on an epic journey across the lowlands. When he reaches an ancestral home, he finds others who know about the dragon and stays to work for the tyrannical Sterling (Ian Cullen, Z Cars, Doctor Who) in order to learn how to slay the beast.

Will is befriended by Sterling’s daughter Kate, and she prepares him for the final battle with the dragon. But Sterling, threatened by Will, orders his men to kill the young squire. Will manages to escape with his life, but he must risk everything to destroy the dragon so that can avenge his father’s death and prove himself a man.

Check out the trailer...

Anchor Bay are due to release Dawn Of The Dragon Slayer on the 13th of February on both DVD and Blu-Ray.

And here's the rules...

Dragons are awesome. Yeah, I said it. And you know it. And you love it! Sadly, there's not that many dragon films around. According to IMDb, there's only 166 movies with the keyword 'dragons'. Yet sticking a dragon in any film is bound to make things interesting.

So, simply come up with a film which would've been better with an added dragon or two and, if you want to, explain why.

Imagine Titanic with a huge water dragon! Or Waterboy in which a dragon kills off Adam Sandler within the first 5 minutes, making that and every film he appeared in afterwards much better.

Make sense? Of course it does!

So, have some fun!

You can enter as many times as you like and the competition is open to everyone; it's worldwide!

On the Friday the 17th five of the best entries will be picked by yours truly and they'll each recieve Dawn Of The Dragon Slayer on DVD or Blu-Ray (their choice, of course).

So, good luck! Have a laugh - don't take it too seriously.

If you really want to impress, you could always photoshop a dragon into a famous movie scene :p

Good luck again,

Kyle

@iluvjudaspriest - "Waterboy in which a dragon kills off Adam Sandler within the first 5 minutes"

How unfair! You have just won your own competition.

@Demdikealsoluvsjudaspriestorhehasnotaste :pound: You heard the man, competition's over. Move along, nothing to see here :p

Take no notice of Pete iluvjudaspriest, i've seen posts from Pete on here where he states he doesn't even know what music is, never been to a gig etc.

Dawn of the Dragon Slayer does sound like an album title by Rhapsody of Fire or the mighty Dragonforce i do admit.

Ooh...how about...

Inglourious Basterd Dragons

Mommy dragon said to her kids: "Anyone of you must back home with at least 100 Nazi heads, best before they have been scalped by that gang from the bottomless Pitt!"

Too Wong Foo (DC)

The long lost Dragon's Cut of the film, would you believe a dragon showed up for audition just because he could not read properly? The audition add read "Looking for drag queens"

Maybe more to come...

Pulp Dragon Fiction
The cut you never thought you would see!
Ever seen the moment when Jules and Vincent stepped out of the dinner and felt like something was missing?
Well here it is my freind! The truth!
Lions Gate Entertainment have unearthed 20 Min's of previously un- known material in which Director Quentin Tarantino show's our two hero's traveling in search of some hot bitche's in the name of Marcelus Wallace atop fire spewing dragons!
These missing scenes depict our estranged double act travel the gang ridden streets of LA incinerating all that are in there path. Dare you touch the suit case and live to tell the tale?
-"Thy fire breathing mother ****er!"

Enter the Dragon - the Lost XXX Cut

Recently unearthed in a Chinese archive, this hardcore cut of the legendary Bruce Lee classic finally shows where the film got its title from...

During the previously lost middle reel, we are treated to Han's rigid training regime, and we meet his "pet" dragon which lives in the labyrinthine depths beneath the school...

The dragon which requires sexually satiating by 6 of Han's most ferociously fierce warriors on a nightly basis...

Now, with this reel restored, Han's men really must, "Enter... the Dragon"

THE IRON LADY!

The story of a once powerful woman, now in her dotage, as she remembers the special man in her life and the help he gave her in ruling the country with a fist of iron. Whenever something needed doing, Dennis the Dragon would be there to make sure things went her way.

It's now about two old dragons...

Roughale 13th February 2012 11:05 AM

As I can no longer edit my post up there (I missed a word, it should read "Anyone of you must come back home..."), I feel the need to add one more:

We Are No Angels

Yes, the classic movie, starring Humphrey Bogart and Peter Ustinov was originally much longer, but due to a fire at the set (guess who caused it!) the original ending was lost in flames... This ending featured the snake Adolf being discovered and captured, which caused its Godfather Godfrey (a dragon) to come over for its rescue. As all attempted dragon FX were rejected, they had to get a real dragon - fatal mistake as it turned out...

Baseball Fury 13th February 2012 11:24 AM

Enter The Dragon Bruce Lee goes undercover to Mr. Han's island to investigate drug smuggling, but after Williams dies in an opium den, he has to fight Han's personal giant reptilian bodyguard. After giving him a few kicks in the scales, the dragon does a runner, so Bruce ends up in the opium den chasing the dragon.

Badum-tsh.

Presenting that porn classic: Hot Throat!

Some guys need a little help from time to time. This film is a reminder of just how popular oral sex with fire-breathing dragons became in the 1970s. This film was the first porn film to go mainstream, and it's not hard to see why. Guys had long fantasized about receiving blow jobs and third-degree burns at the same time...

This film helped to promote safe sex, the precaution being a condom made of asbestos.

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (getting stoned sometimes can make you see crazy stuff, only a dragon was missing from the movie :tongue1::tongue1: )
