Default Weekly Comp - Uwantme2killhim? - 18th September 2013 - FINISHED

Hi everyone,

Now we've got a really great treat for you all with this competition. Uwantme2killhim is an excellent new British thriller, with an award-winning cast and produced by Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects). An excellent movie with a great premise and ending - good stuff!

Here's your chance to win the DVD...

Uwantme2killhim?

From Producer Bryan Singer (X-Men, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Usual Suspects) comes uwantme2killhim?, a British thriller based on a true story. A fascinating and disturbing examination of the impact that the emerging online culture had on the lives of a generation, uwantme2killhim? brings together award-winning talent to tell a story more unbelievable than any fiction.

Key talent:

Producer Bryan Singer (X-Men, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Usual Suspects); director Andrew Douglas (The Amityville Horror); stars Jamie Blackley (Snow White and the Huntsman, And While We Were Here), Toby Regbo (Reign, One Day, Treasure Island, Mr Nobody), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey, The Royle Family, Filth, In Our Name), Jaime Winstone (Dead Set, Made in Dagenham, Donkey Punch), and Mark Womack (Route Irish).

Synopsis:

When 16-year-old Mark, a handsome boy, popular with girls, meets local girl Rachel on the Internet, he quickly finds himself in an intense online relationship. Besotted, he will do anything for her - even befriend and defend - her awkward, loner brother, John, the perpetual target of school bullies. When Rachel, who is trapped in the grips of an abusive relationship, is murdered, Mark and John are determined to avenge her death. Their actions draw the attention of a female MI5 agent as they unwittingly stumble into an on-going operation. Soon, Mark is recruited to commit a devastating crime, one that made British legal history.

Based on true events in the UK in 2003, uwantme2killhim? is the story of a friendship of opposites and the hidden evils that lurk deep within the Internet.

You'll Love It Because

An intense look into the fragility of the human mind when searching desperately for companionship, uwantme2killhim? unfolds at pace, with each twist in the story bringing new revelations and keeping us guessing constantly. Bringing to mind such thrillers as The Usual Suspects, this topical and articulate thriller recently received its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, where it garnered award-winning acclaim - with leads Jamie Blackley and Toby Regbo scooping a prestigious joint award for Best Performance in a British Feature Film for their work in this pulsating thriller.

Hot Quotes:

“Salaciously watchable” - Guy Lodge, Variety
“Stunning performances” - John Millar, Sunday Mail
“A movie with one or two good tricks up its sleeve” - Den of Geek
“Two impressive central performances” - Daily Record
“An absorbing psychological thriller” - Screen Daily
“Darkly unnerving” - The People's Movies

---------------------------------

TO WIN....

Now, before I announce this week's competition rules, don't let them put you off this movie! The competition is just a bit of fun on the title and the film isn't anything like the below. It's an excellent and very intense thriller - I really liked this one!

Anywhoo, to win all you have to do is come up with either a film title, famous film/TV quote or even alter a film's synopsis to show what it would be if that film was made by da youf of today, blad.

Be silly, go crazy and have some fun with this! The three best entries will be selected on Sunday and rewarded with this DVD.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Kyle from the Westside
