A must see film.

Manchester Morgue stopped me voting the 70's era for zombie films. Its easy the worst zombie film i've ever seen. Terrible, terrible film.
A pity as my all time fav zombie film, ZFE, is a 70's film.
I agree with you on ZCF and ZFE is the greatest but come on, Manchester Morgue is a classic.

I enjoyed Manchester Morgue too. It's the film that bridged the gap between Romero's first two zombie classics.

I was joking aboutZCF's twist ending as you knew theyed end up in the city, but its still a great tilm.

I dont know why I dislike Manchester Morgue as its well filmed, has great atmosphere and good gore scenes, but I simply loathe it.
I last owned it on VHS (uncut) and after 2 viewings I swapped it to my mate.
I dont have it on DVD and I have no intention of getting it as it would never be watched.
I even refused a free copy on DVD-R, with cover art etc as I wouldn't ever watch it.

I respect all you guys fondness for it and would never go around putting people off buying it. Just for some unknown reason I personally dont like it. I find it very boring.
Im not saying its a bad film, just that for some unkown reason I cant take to it.

Have many of you seen Dead Set? If not I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you do as it is by far one of the best zombie things I've ever seen! Like REC, it really does make zombies scary.

Brilliant!

But, I'm surprised nobody has said that 2000's are a great time for zombies! Dawn Of The Dead remake, [REC], Land Of The Dead, Diary Of The Dead, 28 Days/Weeks Later (if you count those) Dead Set and loads more!!!!!

70's for me - this decade definitely produced my favourite zombie flicks:

Dawn of the Dead
Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue
The Child
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things
Zombie Flesh Eaters
Deathdream/Dead of Night
Blind Dead Series
Shock Waves

Why no mention of Dead & Buried?
It's by far one of the most inventive horror movies of the 80's. Even if it had differentiated from Gary Sherman's original vision it's still a great atmospheric, interesting, and above all, enjoyable movie. Stan Winston's FX are amazing!
