Default Honeymoon Horror

OK so I've had no joy elsewhere so I'll try my luck here. Anyone wanna see this released? Let's convince the Shameless people that it is worth their time.

Before I continue, check this:

Quote:
Made in 1982, this was one of the very first Direct to Video films purchased by Sony Home Video and released to the then brand new Video Rental Markets. To this day, this film is unavailable on DVD or sell through VHS and it grossed for Sony, in the rental markets alone world wide -- over $22 million dollars. They bought it for $50,000 from the Texas film makers

Any chance then?

In the meantime, let's get those YES votes in .

I took time out of watching my new films to revisit this slasher classic last night and had a lot of fun. I just love this film, the characters are dumb but absorbing, the Texas setting works just right and the killer is sooooo cool. My tape also played much better than I remembered it doing. Sony did a good job. This film is so good, I love it.

Only 5 votes in? You disappoint me folks, let's have more in. And JAMIOUSE, don't think you can vote NO and hide in the shadows , to vote against this film is the equivalent to committing blasphemy, so confession time for you young sir. Why on earth shouldn't this get released?

It's a slasher from the (more or less) "good old days", which I have yet so see, so count me in!

Trouble with this - as with way too many other titles - is that a) it's owned by a major and b) it's owned by a major, who's probably too lazy to go through all the "trouble" of solving the rights issues with an interested party/distributor...which seems to be the msot natural reaction for majors concerning their more "obscure" (from a major's POV anyway) back catalogue titles....

Still, I'd wish this would surface...even better if it got released by a distributor who cares...

Online polls seem a bit pointless because you could say yes to all of them but not actually buy any.

"didn't know shit from beans" lol

That is exactly the problem Peter, films we want to see (or even get a chance to see ) are owned by majors who most of the time could not give a rat's a**e in releasing those films because simply they believe they are specialist films and therefore to them it is a risk to go through all the remastering etc. and they do not want to go through all that as that cost money to do but they will release a lot of S**t films we do not want to see/own or buy.

I have not seen this Honeymoon Horror but it would at least give me a chance to see it though, even if it is a s**t film so I vote YES.
