| Halloween as we all know is a classic, but what about it's sequels? Do you prefer Halloween Resurrection over Halloween H20? Was Halloween 5 misunderstood and is way better than Halloween 4? Or does The Curse of Michael Myers float your boat? Perhaps,Zombie's 'start afresh' approach beats the lot? Was Halloween II the most unneccessary sequel in history,or is it a worthy continuation of one of THE seminal slasher movies ever made? Discuss here please..... and BTW, THE POLL IS MULTI OPTIONAL....

The only sequel I like is Halloween II, the ending was perfect with Loomis and Myers blown sky high and should have ended the story there. Bringing Myers, never mind Loomis back after that, was a step too far in suspension of disbelief and even getting over that, I found the other parts to be just a rehash stringing the story out further than it needed to be. So for me Halloween II, an excellent continuation but where the story should have ended. Funnily enough I feel the same way about A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 which should have ended that series. |

What's happeed to Season of the Witch? I know it's not a Myers based sequel, but it's still an awesome film.

| It's certainly better than any other HALLOWEEN sequel, remake or sequel to remake, in my opinion.

"Halloween II" (1981) is basically my favourite slasher movie of all time and personally I'd even take it over the original. ![]() I also like Rob Zombie's "Halloween" films very much; not neccesarily the way I would have "rebooted" "Halloween" myself, but Zombie's take has quite a stylistic punch, with some of the death scenes being far more emotionally involving than in the original series. "Halloween 4" is basically the sequel which came out when I entered horror fandom in my late teens, I even caught it on the big screen back then, so in that sense it'll always have a special place for me- though I was somewhat underwhelmed when revisiting it this Halloween. "Halloween 5": Powerhouse performance by a very young Danielle Harris- otherwise a rushed mess with annoying characters and dubious focus on the hunt of a little girl instead of the teeange virginal heroinne...not a good move- at all. "The Curse of Michael Myers" is okay, messy yes, but watchable. "H20" has a couple of really suspenseful moments, but doesn't manage to make the very most out of having Jamie Lee back, a bit too "Screm"-esque too for my liking. ![]() The less said about "Resurrection" the better imho- horrible failure! |

I find that there are elements to enjoy in most of the Halloween Sequels, except Halloween 5. It contains the most annoying, unlikeable cast of characters in any of the films (Incuding Resurrection). The only saving grace was to actually see each and every one get what was coming to them. I gave the Producers cut Of H6 another spin the other week, this is the version that should have been released and hopefully one day, it'll happen.

![]() And yes, even though I rate "Resurrection" overall as the worst one, I agree on your point about H5's characters...they're a real pain to watch, "Tina" in particular! Was Wendy Kaplan the director's/producer's girlfriend or how did she score that role, which occupied an unhealthy portion of the running time? ![]() As great as a release of H6's "producers cut" would be, it'll probably never happen as long as "Disney" is sitting on the rights to this, the same goes for an often announced SE of "H20". |

I'd watch Halloween 5 anyday over CURSE and Resurrection! H20 Was a bold move, and yes I enjoyed that. Downside to it was LL COOL J didn't get a knife through the skull within 2 minutes of him appearing!
