Best Decade Of Horror/Film?

Not specifically horror films because personally I watch a wide range of films though obviously most of what I do watch is horror related.

So yeah, best decade of horror? My top 9 would be:

1) '70s
2) '80s
3) '60s
4) '00s
5) '50s
6) '90s
7) '30s
8) '40s
9) '20s

The reason I put the '20s last is because I never seem to watch very much silent horror.

Toss up but between the 70s & 80s (which came out on top just)Mind you the 30s started it all with the Universal cycle & King Kong.The 40s bought us the more subtle chills of the Val Lewton produced chillers.The 50s introduced us to the gorgeous looking colour Gothic horrors like Dracula & Curse Of Frankenstein.The 60s bought us several classic Bava flicks including Black Sunday,Black Sabbath & Kill Baby Kill.The 70s The Omen,Halloween,Alien & the best of the Argento films.However the 80s bought us the best slashers,the Italian Zombie films,The Howling & The Thing.

Okay, in order, mine would be:

1) 70's
2) 80's
3) 60's
4) 30's
5) 40's
6) 50's
7) 90's
8) 00's

But 70's is tops for me - this is the decade that gave us The Exorcist, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Halloween, Black Christmas, Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde etc. The list is endless.

Movie wise I think the 70s but horror wise its definitely the 80s

The 70's for me some great movies came out around that time. Also the 50's & 60's get a mention for some great films like The Searchers, Vertigo, Black Sabbath, The Wild Bunch etc.

It was a choice between the 70s and 80s for me. But most of the films I like are in the 70s.

my fav decade for film overall is def 70's but for horror i say 80's even though some of my favorite horror is from 70's ... its pretty tight...
