Default Stanley Kubrick's Best Film?

And why?

Mine is EYES WIDE SHUT by far. A masterpiece and one I've watched countless times, so absorbing, great plot, great acting, brilliance!

I voted Dr Strangelove , though Clockwork Orange was a close 2nd.

I think Dr Strangelove captures the tension when all there was to worry about was nuclear holocaust and dares to poke fun at it.

"The Killing" for me, "Dr.Strangelove" and "A Clockwork Orange" being a close second and third.

I love "The Killing", the use of time, jumping back and forth, great characters etc etc etc.

2001 for me. IMO still the best sci-fi film ever made and one of my all-time fave films.

Closely vying for 2nd place would be Lolita or A Clockwork Orange.

Would've been easy to go for his creepy version of The Shining but I've gone for Spartacus one of the last great epics up to Gladiator IMHO (Leaving out the films of David Lean)Tony Curtis & Kirk Douglas at their best supported by the likes of Ustinov,Olivier,Strode & Simmons.Great score too, excellent battle scenes & a moving ending.See the restored version with the additional if brief gore & the infamous restored dialogue between Olivier & Curtis.

"Full Metal Jacket". The best Vietnam war film by far for me with great performances and a great ending. "A Clockwork Orange", "Dr. Strangelove" and "2001" are equal second. I still haven't got around to "Eyes Wide Shut" yet.

I'd say 2001 is my fav. It's just such a beautiful film - every single shot is amazing! I luv it. My 2nd would be A Clockwork Orange and The Shining

Full Metal Jacket and Dr. Strangelove are great too! Damn - he's such a great director! Wahh!
