Default Red Scorpion: The Specs

Red Scorpion (Arrow Video) Blu-ray

TAUGHT TO STALK. TRAINED TO KILL. PROGRAMMED TO DESTROY.

Dolph Lundgren is Nikolai - a killing machine - a deadly, highly skilled agent for the Russian army whose brutal efficiency and single minded determination to serve the motherland leaves behind a trail of battered bodies and bloodied enemies.

Now Nikolai must infiltrate an African rebel army who seek to defy their new communist rulers and take out their leader, but as he gets to know his enemies and the dignified Bushmen he encounters, he begins to slowly realize that all he has been taught was a lie. This Cold War rebel is ready to turn the tables on his Soviet masters and kick all kinds of ass!

With a body count that leaves jaws firmly on the floor and a healthy disregard for troublesome logic, Red Scorpion is a classic 80s action spectacular that doesn’t let up for a second...

I haven't seen this for over 20 years, and I'm interested to see if I can actually understand what the hell is going on this time around.

This is the best news I have heard in a while.

I have every month or so been searching the net for information on the rumoured DVD release by another studio.

Will buy this instead. And just noticed its Blu-Ray artwork too.

The Artwork is superb.

You are missing the biggest trick ever if you do not release the Japanese version, and even possibly have seemless branching to allow us to choose.

This is a day one purchase for me and then some.

While on the subject. Any chance you could consider The Punisher and have the Work Print version remastered. Same goes for Van Dammes Hard Target.

Watch Avatar. Same story just not as well told as in Red Scorpion.

As far as I'm aware, this release is the extended uncut version, but I'll ask and make sure.

What's the deal with all of the same titles being released by Arrow and Synapse? Both companies rock, and both have their own unique special features. It's really hard to choose which editions to get!

I simply like the slipcases and the posters - so it will always be Arrow for me!

Greetings!

I don't own any Synapse BDs yet, but have a few Arrows, so I'm leaning towards the Arrow release too. The slipcases and posters are pretty sweet. As long as the transfers are comparable, it's a win win!

I have the swedish Bluray/dvd combo reliese.
This version blows hard!!
I wouldn't buy it if I got it for free!

it has the flamethrower scene inserted when the soldiers with flamethrowers sets the village on fire however the extra bloodsquirting at the end of the movie when the dolphin shoots of colonels arm, here it's supposed to be a longer scene with extra bloodsquirting from the arm, IT'S NOT! don't see any extra blood gushing.

aspect ratio is crappy 1:78:1 blows hard!
