Can someone tell me if this is a new transfer (progressive) comissioned by Arrow or if it´s the existing one (interlaced) from BCI/AWE.

I guess it can be viewed both ways as this is the first time this movie is available on DVD in the UK.

I reckon this will go through uncut, it's mild compared to some other stuff they've passed in the last few years.

The cover is great but I already have the AWE edition so I won't be buying it.

(I used to have the BCI release but swapped it for the first Vipco release of CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD)

the cover alone makes me want to buy it, that is pure 80'sness great movie which im pretty sure will be passed uncut considering there are way more explicit movies than this that's been passed by the bbfc.

They've also cut less explicit films, like Tombs of the Blind Dead. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'm not so sure that this will fly through the BBFC unscathed - but you never know.

I love this movie & already own the BCI dvd, but my god! That cover is awesome!

Will definitely be double dipping on this one. (That sounded a bit rude. )

I'd like to know if this is a straight-up PAL transfer or a NTSC->PAL conversion. Almar or someone from CL, can you please look into this for me/us?

I'll ask tomorrow but, if I don't get back to you at some point, please remind me.

Vipco Nostalgic effect for you Pete! Been there mate, and although the artwork looks good, the discs are shite.

I wonder what UK genre fans' reactions would be had we to go back to bleakness like that....?

I too swapped the disc Pete and picked up the AWE disc.
But I'll be picking up this beaut as well.

And that artwork is,once again,superb.

I hope it passes uncut but I have my reservations.

Sure the rape sequence is very mild but the meaning is very strong because the character that is raped is a high school girl and a minor.
