I've just started TNG Season 3. The show looks great on Blu ray.

I really like the show, but it seems to get a lot of online hate.

That's star trek fans for you, they have a very toxic fan base but they are usual in the minority . If some of them had there way we would all be watching reruns of the original series . As much as I love all the series of really needed to be updated for modern times.

Half of them have probably not even watched the show, it was the same with enterprise it was not star trek, it was awful etc and now the same morons who hated or wouldn't watch are now saying it was underrated and ended before it's time.

The grave of James R Kirk, as seen in the second pilot episode 'Where No Man Has Gone Before'

The gravestone suggests that an important event marked "C" took place on stardate 1277.1. It's been suggested that this is the date when Kirk assumes command of the Starship Enterprise

With regards to the error in Kirk's name, Gene Roddenberry decided that this was because Gary Mitchell, the man who Kirk is fighting, "had godlike powers, but at base he was Human, and he simply made a mistake."
