It took 27 hrs to sit through the whole thing (not in one go) but the results are absolutely worth it. Magnificent filmmaking. The only TV mini series to top Rich Man...

Same here. I would rate this with The Buddy Holly Story as one of the best rock n' roll biopics. Excellent performances all round.

Very heavily. Almost 2 mins and the cuts were very badly made indeed (the dog scene was nearly incomprehensible). The video was basically the same print. Cuts waived in 2001.

Saw it back in 1982....
