Default I Spit on Your Grave (Original) BD

I have seen this movie before and remember the butchered Vipco job. The recent blu ray that looks like a arrow video looks appealing due to its many extras. Question is, has anyone seen the film? I know its cut, but are the cuts as bad as the vipco release? I don't buy R1 so please offer advice on this release as I am aware there are countless other editions to buy overseas

Why don't you buy R1 discs?

It was Hardgore/ Screen Entertainment who released it over here. Vipco put it out as an import VHS back in the 90's (which I have)

I don't buy R1 cos I don't have multiregion player and was interested in knowing about this version.

The recent release on DVD and BD is a less cut version than before, but is still missing a fair chunk from what I can gather. Mostly from the rape, I believe.

I picked up the Australian Region B Blu-ray which is uncut and UK friendly.

The recent UK dvd/blu ray is pretty dire in my opinion. Lots of slowing down of cut scenes to make up for the decreased running time.

On another note, it's very easy to make region free copies of r1 (or any region for that matter) DVDs, assuming you have a dvd burner. Perhaps you might see it as a bit of a hassle, but it's one way around not having a multi-region player.

I was wondering the same thing. What make/model is your DVD player, Ricky?

I picked one up for about £15 brand new off eBay. Which I find funny, because a few years back when I tried selling the film on eBay they removed the listing and warned me about selling obscene material!
