I have seen this film loads of time so the suprise ending isnt a suprise to me anymore but I still find its the best of M. Night's films. It had the lot - atmosphere, chills, scares, and the suprise ending. As I was watching it before I just saw it as a boy can talk to the dead and that was that, but now as ive read into things of the paranormal I have noticed that the boy is what they call a medium. A Derek Acorah in other words - and he dosent know he is yet as he is too young. So sorry if you already knew this but ive just found this out. What do you think of the film |

He's a Derek Acorah? A lying conman preying on people's vulnerability for personal gain? That's a lot more depth that you usually get in MNS's films... ![]() I think it's a terrible film. Very boring and it places a lot on the so called "twist" which was obvious within the opening 10 minutes or so of the film. I've never liked it and can't understand what people do see in it. The only positive I can say is that it isn't as bad as Signs. |

. . .To be fair, the film is shot beautifully, and has a chilly autumnal aeshetic that I think works really well. Tony Colette and Olivia Williams are both great in their roles. Some of the ghost stuff is well played. I don't mind it . . .

I like it but haven't seen it in years. Reminds me of a great joke in the last season 30 Rock by Tracey Jordan: "I finally understand the ending to The Sixth Sense! Those names were all people who worked on the movie!" |
