Default RED DAWN 1984 John Millus

RED DAWN a classic product of the eighties.
A brat pack cast, some sadly no longer with us.
Mindless actioner for the commie-haters!

Mind you though, back in the USSR-fearing eighties,it did give you something to think about,it did with me anyway, could that really happen?

Instead,Glasgow was invaded by not the commie bastard, but what became known as the scummy bastard, aka the NED!

Seriously though, this is one of those films I never tire of watching.

Any other fans out there?
How did you discover it?
What did you think of it back in the day when you were an impressionable freedom fighter against the Red war machine?

And MGM-When we getting a bloody BLU RAY?

The BD was announced a while ago and then pulled. I'd expect it to come out along with the remake.

It's MGM Reaper. Never expect good art from them.

I haven't seen the film since it was released. Can't remember too much about it I'm afraid.

Always enjoyed Red Dawn, had the dvd for years but only watched it once. This thread will make me rectify that.

I watch it quite regularly.

80's nobrainer action at it's best!

Big fan of this and Millus in general. Saw RD on it's cinema release and watch it every few months or so on ITV4. Great cast, though I'd rate "Soul Man" as Mr Howell's finest moment! Wolverines!

As much as the politics make me cringe, it's really fun and I enjoy it greatly! That pretty much covers most of Milius's films though!
