Default TAKEN 2 INTERNATIONAL TRAILER

Liam Neeson returns as former C.I.A agent Brian Mills in the sequel to 2008's sleeper hit. This time he's the victim of revenge...

The original Taken is brilliant not just for giving us a 52 year-old Neeson in full-on badass mode but also for that terrific phone call scene. The sequel looks similarly splendid too and here's hoping for a second superb slice of Brian Mills mayhem.

I am a lonely voice of contention when it comes to Taken.

Are they trying to turn this into a French Die Hard franchise now? Wonder how many relatives he'll have kidnapped over the years...?

I must admit i've thought the same thing and we don't want Brian Mills to become another Paul Kersey!

hehe, it's 'disagree with James Morton' day I didn't think the original was any great shakes, and this looks like more of the same (but then, what else would it be?) . . .

TAKEN is an excellent thriller and haven't you seen a film with 'more of the same' and enjoyed it ?

almost every horror film is the same, every Giallo follows the same pattern, every Zombie movie follows the same patten, every slasher film follows the same pattern....i could go on....but i enjoy them. James Morton is right, TAKEN was an excellent thriller and went to show you don't need CGI enhanced action sequences to make money and action films don't need frenetic editing.

Agreed and repetition or routine in cinema doesn't bother me. Boring movies do and Taken definitely wasn't one imo. Hackneyed or contrived ideas have no effect on my viewing pleasure and as long as there's plenty going on in what i'm watching then yours truly is a happy bunny.
A film never needs to be wholly original to keep me entertained.
