I picked up a copy of EtN in Cash Converters for £1 and i'm pretty sure it was cut but does anyone know what's missing?

It was very heavily cut for cinema by the BBFC and the same print used for UK video & DVD releases (Bravo televised it uncut). Here are the cinema cuts from our own Worldwide DVD Forums.

Thanks Vince. The BBFC really went to work on that film.

Other than the cockfights it would pass intact now if the full print was resubmitted.

Yes the BBFC were just making themselves look incredibly foolish back then demanding nonsensical cuts like that.

As Angel pointed out on the Worldwidedvdforums it's on DAVE this week.I was lucky enough to record the BRAVO screening which was naughty as it contained footage the BBFC would cut (The cockfight sequences as there are two). The cuts to the cinema, video & dvd versions were very heavy. All sight & uses of the Shuriken (Throwing stars)A sequence in the opening titles of a ninja using Nunchaku.Sho Kosugi using Shuriken against Nero at the start where he also uses Nunchaku (Franco also trains with a pair later in the film)The death of Franco's best friend has the throat-slitting trimmed as well as a sequence where Kosugi breaks his arm.Lots of cuts at the climax where Shuriken & a blowpipe are used too. This as well as the two cockfights which would be cut today.Available on Scandanavian dvd but a censored UK print is used.Even the Dutch VHS I owned was taken from a UK theatrical print !

Certainly is.In fact that would be a more appropriate title for the film sadly.Despite it starting the short-lived Ninja film cycle the film's ruined by some awful 'comedy' sequences & terrible dialogue (I was not surprised to see this juvenile screenplay was the writers only one). This is due to the Jewish director (who part owned CANNON films) including Hughie from the successful Israeli LEMON POPSICLE films,in the cast as the villains hook-handed henchman !.Pray For Death,Revenge Of The Ninja (Out r1) & Ninja 3-The Domination remain probably the best films.

I have the Bravo print on VHS but haven't watched it for ages. Bit of a silly film IMO and yes the casting of Lemon Popsicle's Zachi Noy as Siegried The Hook was just plain embarrassing.

I've been having a trawl through my sons dvd collection and picked out enter the ninja and watched it at the weekend. Its the cut m.i.a release and bad as it may be its nowt compared to my next viewing pleasure...Karate kill.."his hands are his weapons." Yeah,ok. Released on the awful moonstone label, this has to be seen to be believed.Awful in the extreme.

Still awaiting that dvd release of ninja 3-the domination...anyone?
