Bought this as a "grey" bootleg DVD ages ago, as far as I know it was only released in Sweden and is directed by Bo Arne Vibenius (Thriller A Cruel Picture)

This really is an amazing movie which equals if nots betters Thriller....

Anyway if you could release this Id be prepared to send you in my girlfriend who could be used as a slave round the Shameless office ; )

I think Synapse are sorting out an official R1 release (fringers crossed), unless Bo Arne Vibenius tries the same "I'll sue your ass" approach he applied with Thriller! haha.

Hahaha wishful thinking I know, but to be honest I found the sex scenes in this alot less graphic then in Thriller....

What a movie though the end just blows you away....

Sadly, this movie will never get a proper dvd release, and it has nothing to do with the fact that Bo Arne Vibenius woun't let go of the rights. There is simply no decent film elements of this movie available. In Sweden, and in Bo Arnes possession, is just a 2" video master tape transfered to a Digital BetaCam tape. At the Swedish Film Archives there is only one bad 35mm copy with burned in Swedish subtitles. There are however a 35mm copy floating around from France, with the scenes re-edited in some strange order, and dubbed. It also miss some key scenes.

I've only managed to see parts of this on Youtube and it looked amazing! I wouldn't drink any of the guy's coffee though........

If you took out the sex scenes that look like porn then cant understand why it wouldnt get released uncut because there basicaly not a lot left realy ...its not like it violent or gory..

Breaking Point is a brutal film, really. You can't just take out the sex scenens because it's a violent porno movie. Like Porno Holocaust. Not like Vibenius Thriller which had sex scenes inserted. Which has been removed on Synapses "less pornographic" dvd.

Unfortuently the director(who also is the owner of the rights) of this movie is a bitter old man who is suspecious about "all new technology" and the society in general, he wont even let them release it here in Sweden.
Great movie by the way, one of the best movies ever from my country
