Your Favourite Horror Film from 2001
2001 was definitely an improvement on 2000 in terms of great horror, but which one is your favourite? What makes it special to you? When did you first see it? Would you recommend it to the uninitiated? Sometimes it's a hard decision to just pick one film (even when you're limiting it to a single year!), but my favourite film of 2001 is... Session 9 - Brad Anderson Possibly my favourite horror film of the 2000s, Session 9 is a fraught psychological horror with some fantastic performances. I could happily watch this film over and over again. Trailer: Runners Up: Brotherhood of the Wolf Dagon The Devil's Backbone From Hell Ghosts of Mars The Happiness of the Katakuri's The Hole Ichi the Killer - not really a horror, but IMDB seems to think it is... Jeepers Creepers Pulse Sleepless Stacy Suicide Club Wendigo |

Not at all, it's one of the rare films that was recommended to me by several people with no love of the horror genre. When I told them I didn't like it they looked at me like I was mad. |

For me, this year was all about The Devil's Backbone, with the Hole and Sleepless slipping in very close behind.

I really enjoyed the vampire film The Forsaken and She Creature. However Dagon is in my eyes the best horror of 2001. Everything about it is good, from the acting and production values to the gory sfx. Easily Stuart Gordon's best feature. |

Though I don't like the film myself, I'm really surprised that you are it's only champion in the whole of Cult Labs.
