Your Favourite Horror Film from 1985

Perhaps a rewatch is in order, its pretty strong stuff in places. Its not a conventional horror as you say.

I would bracket it a horror in the same way as Psycho .

I always thought this pre dated all those "Fatal Attraction" type films that stole elements from the slasher genre but dressed it up as a drama for the middle classes who wouldn't be found dead enjoying a good stabbing!

Define a good stabbing, especially when referring to Crimes of Passion.

Would have to be Day of the Dead for me too, it's a film I could watch weekly and not get bored of it!

Another classic year!

FRIGHT NIGHT was a classic of the genre,but just pipping it is the madness that is RE-ANIMATOR.

as i see someone beat me to COP (it is horrible to watch, so therefore tis a horror film) il pick The Stuff to be different...nowt wrong with the proffered list..but ....wasnt Bunman/untold Story from this year? or am i too early?

Romero's Day of the Dead for sure, a phenomenal piece of film making. Demons was quite good, but not even in the same league.

This was really the greatest year for horror. Fright Night, Return of the Living Dead, Demons, ReAnimator.

But I think 'll have to go with Day of the Dead.

Like you couldn't have guessed.
