…a pleasant surprise…Director Anne Black’s next film also involves dragons and I hope that it is a direct sequel and the story of Kate and Willdeserves to be continued. ” – NERDS IN BABELAND

“…extraordinary and interesting. It couldn’t have cost much more than most SyFy movies, yet the things that don’t depend on money–talent, the desire to do good work, and belief in the project at hand–nudge it into the realm of real cinema. It’s low budget, but not low rent….from the first epic shot of Ireland’s coast to the final romantic image, it’s clear that real love and attention was put into Dawn of the Dragonslayer. There’s a film here bigger than its budget, and I hope it finds an audience.” - ALEX BLEDSOE

The scenery is breathtaking and the musical score is beautiful…8/10 and highly recommend …” – CHAR HARDIN
…it brings more to the genre than most entries aspire to. So if you want to see a medieval tale of heroes and monsters, but don’t fancy the usual SyFy channel fair, check out Anne K. Black’s DAWN OF THE DRAGON SLAYER. You will be pleasantly surprised by what you find. ” – BMOVIEMAN

STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE IS OUT MONDAY (28.02.2011)

PRE-ORDER NOW @AMAZON

STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE uses Britain’s most famous prehistoric monument to create a crazy stew of alien conspiracies and ancient legends, all with the usual Sy Fy channel mix of manic storytelling, wacky effects and general insanity.

DID DINOSAURS BUILD STONEHENGE?

But the producers of the movie didn’t just grab the ideas in the movie out of the air. Man has been looking at the stones and pondering why they came to be built for thousands of years so this week, I went on my own quest across Youtube to collect documentaries and conspiracy rants, as well as some wild ideas from Spinal Tap kingpin and henge enthusiast Nigel Tufnel.

Some of the clips you’ll see come from Nation Geographic and deal with, if not scientific facts, then respectable scientific theories, others are a little more outre, others are clearly the work of insane madmen.

It’s not all crackpots and archeologists, relive the magical moment when Chevy Chase brings stones tumbling down and there’s a slightly lighter look at the history with Bill Bailey to enjoy, all to celebrate next week’s release on UK DVD of STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE.
