SHAM500: The 10th Victim - Specs Thread

Hello everyone!

As promised in this week's Cult Labs' newsletter, we have a very special and exciting announcement from Shameless this lunchtime. With the upcoming release of Ursula Andress' fun The 10th Victim coming out soon, this release will be the first of it's kind - with hopefully more to come in the future! It's a terrific movie, much in the same vein as Running Man, Turkey Shoot and even The Hunger Games!

Take a look at the below and let us know what you think...

The 10th Victim
Shameless' FIRST Dual-Format Release!

THE 10TH VICTIM has never been released in UK before!

Yet this film by OscarĀ® Winning director Elio Petri has earned Cult status wherever seen, not only because of its exquisite Pop-Art visuals, and numorous observation, but mostly because 007-sex-
icon Ursula Andress (Dr No; Mountain Of The Cannibal God; The Nurse) sports another iconic bikini, and this time it literally is deadly…

Set in the near future, the film opens with Andress notching her penultimate kill in "The Big Hunt", a reality-TV style game show. The show selects both "Hunter" & "Victim" at random and they then chases one another around the globe: kill your 10th victim and you win Millions! Andress' next victim is the cool Marcello (Mastroianni) (8 1/2; La Dolce Vita) who's also needs one more kill to hit the jackpot !

The kinky fusion of sex and violence is powered by the chemistry between Mastroianni and Andress in this new Shameless release remastered from restored HD sources. In English. Complete and uncut.

The 10th Victim will be Shameless' first ever Dual Format release, containing both the DVD and the Blu-ray version of the film!

Extras include:
  • A stunning limited edition collector's lenticular sleeve (numbered sleeve (0-3000)
  • Reversible Sleeve
  • An exclusive interview with Kim Newman and Paola Petri, wife of the late Elio Petri, the director of the film
  • English Audio
  • Italian Audio
  • Optional English Subtitles

Release Date: 10th March 2014
Certificate: 18
Run Time: 90 mins (approx.)
Year: 1965
Audio: Dolby Stereo - English audio & optional Italian Audio with English Subtitles

As you may have spotted, the wonderful new artwork has been designed by the hugely talented Cult Labs forum member, Slippery Jack!

Keep your eye out next Friday Lunchtime when we'll be revealing what the lenticular cover will look like - it's fab! You will love it!

Shameless Screen Entertainment's THE 10TH VICTIM will be available on the 10th March 2014. Pre-order yours here!

This is sounding like it will be a truly definitive release. Another fine piece of artwork from SJ too.

Looking forward to it. :pop2:

Why SHAM500? It's only the 4th bluray release isn't it?

This is me speculating that Formula for a Murder is SHAM400 and was recalled due to a last minute bluray release being intended

The new number SHAM500 is because it's a dual format release, rather than a Blu-ray or a DVD. It'll be the same shape as DVD case I believe.

Ah, that's my theory blown out of the water then!

So.....a dvd case then. Epic fail i'm afraid. Should be a BD case. Easy pass for me.

Is that the only reason you're not getting this?
