Effects is an astonishing film. It unravels slowly, but it does get under your skin. The first half seems like a buddy movie with everyone bonding and making a movie together. But at the halfway point, when the director screens a snuff movie for the crew, things take a decidedly sinister turn. Absolute brilliance and it's criminal that it went unseen for so long.
Doesn't the final segment of Cradle of Fear revolve around snuff or something? My memory is hazy, perhaps someone else can fill in the gaps. |
