I took one of my sons to see this at its cinema showing the other year back, and it was great to see so many like minded fans, some even sporting hammer t-shirts. Still one of my top ten horror flicks ever!(even though michael gough's scenery chewing does make me laugh at times.) |

Christopher Lee is the definitive Dracula. Period! And Peter Cushing is the best Van Helsing. |

When it comes to being faithful to the novel it's probably one of the most unfaithful Dracula films ever made. Still good fun though with a splendid climax. I enjoyed Satanic Rites too though I've no idea why. Brides Of Dracula is probably my favourite Hammer vampire film. |

Possibly a subconscious reaction to seeing Joanna Lumley being attacked/felt up by a group of cellar dwelling lesbo vampires. |

Yes it was a bit different to the New Avengers. |

The final showdown is legendary. Does a box-set exist, containing all seven Christopher Lee DRACULA movies? If there is, I would be interested in one. The rights to the films are split between a few different companies though, so this may be a problem. But if any one can clear this matter up, or know anything about this, I would be keen to hear about it.

Wishful thinking I'm afraid. The same would be great with Hammer's Frankenstein movies, but I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned different rights holders.Pity.
