Classic B&Ws As a fan of the old B movies, House on Haunted Hill is Vincent Price ultimate movie and the Original Thing from another world. But why are these classic movies being re released in colour? |

It's the same reason why there are so many American remakes of foreign films - people can't be bothered with reading subtitles |
My mother is like that, she refuses to watch any film not in colour or any film that's subtitled. If she wants to rob herself of films like panuc beats, seconds, repulsion, dead of night and the case is happily resolved..... It's her major loss. I have friends the same. |
Thought they stopped all that. Ah, you mean shite like this shite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsOVtbsMKtA |
Most recent one was, Romero's original 1968 Night of the living dead I watched about 10 minutes of it. Didn't look right  |

So you do mean colourised films? There are buttons on the remote for such things ;) |

The Ray Harryhausen films that were colourized such as Earth vs the Flying Saucers look great in my opinion. Each time i watch them i constantly flick between colour and black and white to see how the process has affected certain scenes. |

What was your view on Earth vs the flying saucers?, does the colour make it better? |
My view.. You can't get better than the original versions. If it's filmed in B/W then it should be watched in B/W. I don't agree with colourizing any film. I mean, colourizing Laurel and Hardy. What an abomination! |

Not painted over like some I've had the misfortune to see ;) |
I do enjoy the oldies and got a fair lot of them but rather watch them in the original format as they came out |
