Default Les Yeux Sans Visage (1958)

A cornerstone. It has it all. As with Peeping Tom and Psycho, the focus here is the morbid gaze.
A surgeon with a deadly secret plays God with his disfigured daughter. Aided by the headmistress from Suspiria, he carries on in a way that would make Harold blush. Ahem.
See. This. Now.

Wow. 1960 ahem. Can someone shift this ta???

Up until Hammer got going with horror production there were barely any fifties horror films. Sci-Fi was still in full stride as far as American B-pictures went.

Oh wait. I didn't realise i was replying to a post from half a decade ago.
