the cover stands out, unlike the dire optimum one i have.
will i piss off a lot of people when i say i have the novelisation of the J Mills story??

always wondered that about X The Unknown, just thought they were getting their money's worth with Donleavy still in the country haha, noted and filed....also ive just finished watching the 50s tv ones, and yes i can see why they caused so much consternation across the nation ESPECIALLY QATP, ****ing terrifying some of it is...within the context of the time.

That aside, looks like a great release, and this will be mine soon enough.
Hey there, I'll fix this now. Just making note of the fact here so that it doesn't look like you've gone mad once the corrections are made.

Thanks for the heads up!

i doubt I'll literally be able to help, but I sent a PM anyway. I assume you're talking about the sixth series? See my PM.

For anyone curious, Blu-ray.com just posted a very positive review of Quartermass and the Pit. Good reading. I only trust Blu-ray.com, don't like HighDefDigest.com...they're always so snooty with their reviews. Blu-ray.com usually just posts reviews for US releases but reviews UK releases every once in a while, if it's a big one and not being released in the US.

slightly off topic, but....
was racking my brain, as i knew the Goons had done a QATP spoof, just couldnt remember the title, was shifting some boxes (due to council finally finishing their clean up etc) and came across my Goon Show Companion (very handy tome if you dig Eccles & co etc), and yes...the episode in question is called The Scarlet Caspsule. now hopefully some bright spark at radio4xtra will repeat it, instead of constantly repeating the 7th series ala bloody Groundhog Day...ahem.

Flash-Bang has just published my review/feature on the Blu-Ray;

quatermass and the pit

To be honest, I'd largely forgotten about Quatermass, to my irritation. I'm reacquainting myself with Nigel Kneale's work at the moment.
