I'm a big fan of Hooper's Salem's Lot adaptation as well.I remember watching it on the BBC when it was first televised, and the scenes with the Nosferatu-style head vampire in the jail cell and the floating vampire kid outside his brother's window scared the crap out of me at the time.So much so, that I slept with my bedroom curtains tightly closed for weeks afterwards.
