Default Creatures the World Forgot. (1971)

In the latest Empire, Kim Newman reviews Creatures the World Forgot in his movie dungeon along with recent releases The Terrornauts, The 10TH Victim, Formula For a Murder and The Stuff among others.

Have i missed something?

Is the film getting a UK home video release at last?

It's not listed on Amazon. Does anyone know anything about this?

If news of a release has passed me by then please accept my apologies and use this thread to discuss this classic prehistoric Hammer production.

This is the first I've heard about it. It's been a long time since I've watched any of the Hammer prehistoric films, so I would gladly pick this up

Let me do some digging and see what I can find out

Thanks Mark.

Are they a good company to buy from? I've never heard of them before.

Bear Island's a fine film. Each time i've seen it on Amazon it's been nearer the £20 mark.

Looks like i'll be getting that as well.

Back to Creatures. Is the booklet nice?

They had the exclusive rights to CAMP ON BLOOD ISLAND, YESTERDAY'S ENEMY, THE GORGON, THESE ARE THE DAMNED & TWO FACES OF DOCTOR JEKYLL before they hit shops.Their versions had booklets by Marcus Hearn miissing AFAIK from the later shop versions. They acquired the exclusive rights to quite a few Sony titles for a while before they hit stores explaining their absence from amazon unless people cash in on their release there.

The 24 page booklet is really good with great stills & lots of info on the movie. The version of BEAR ISLAND people were selling on Amazon for £20 -£30.00 at one point was the Moviemail release. It's a vast improvement over the soft & dark 2-disc Spanish release from Creative Films I used to own.
